Founded in New York, Nimi Cares Inc. was established to address one of the most pressing socio-economic challenges in the developing world: the devastating intersection of extreme poverty, entrenched gender inequality, and unequal educational access. For over a decade and a half, our organization has operated with a singular, highly specialized mandate: to find the most brilliant, high-potential girls in marginalized Indian communities and provide them with the comprehensive financial runway they need to achieve their academic goals.

We deliberately operate differently than massive, faceless bureaucracies. Every single application, academic transcript, and teacher's recommendation letter is reviewed and vetted directly by the board members of our organization. This hands-on, rigorous approach ensures the highest level of fiduciary oversight. It creates a profound, unbroken connection between our generous supporters in the United States and the exceptional young women whose life trajectories they are permanently transforming in India.
